This morning I woke up very happy at 5 AM. I was so happy because I have very good dream with H.H. The Dalai Lama. In my dream, the place look like Thailand. I was with many monks who were wearing yellow robes and practicing Theravada tradition. All the monks were lined up to accept offerings from me. The very last monk to receive offering was to my surprise, H.H. The Dalai Lama. I said, “wow, your Holiness, you are here.” He said, “yes, I am here for you.” I was so happy to see him and be with him. I give him everything I have left as offering. He gave me very good teaching. He recited the following two verses from Shantideva's Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life:

The Knower of Reality has said
That recitation and all physically difficult practices,
Even if done for a very long time, will be meaningless,
If done with a mind that’s distracted elsewhere.
And those who don’t know the secret of the mind,
The paramount significance of Dharma,
Will wander about, pointlessly and miserably,
Wishing to gain happiness and overcome suffering.
The teaching was about the importance of meditation. After I woke up, I could not help but go to the alter and spend the entire day meditating.
